Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering lessons to suit each swimmer in the class
- Ensuring safe provision and correct use of all equipment
- Establishing and making sure that safety standards are followed in every lessons
- Identifying participants' abilities and encouraging them to reach their full potential
- Providing explanations and demonstrating swimming techniques
- Correcting faults in swimming techniques and identifying ways to improve performance Other Responsibilities
- Being a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children and adults to participate in swimming
- Setting ground rules for each session
- Evaluating sessions and giving constructive feedback
- Regularly assessing each participant's ability and progress
- Attending team meetings and training sessions as needed
- Agreeing to abide by a code of conduct and carrying out duties in accordance with BASS and site policies, including equal opportunities, safeguarding children, health and safety at work, etc.

- Experience in Teaching Swimming an advantage .
- Have a positive attitude with a great work ethic

- Excellent communication skills
Skills Required
- The ability to deal with customers and their queries and concerns with tact and sensitivity. The ability to work as part of a team.
- The ability to undertake routine maintenance and cleaning.
- The ability to deliver high quality service with minimal supervision.
Qualifications Requirements
- Swimming instructor qualification.
- Lifeguard qualification would be an advantage.
- First Aid an advantage
- Experience in teaching swimming lessons is essential

Your Role
Plan and deliver General English and Special Interest (SPIN) courses as directed by the DOS or ADOS
Plan and deliver lectures on a rota basis
Choose appropriate supplementary material and topics for your classes. These must at all times demonstrate sensitivity to the multi-cultural and multi-ethnic student population in EF schools
Cover absent colleagues as requested by the DOS or ADOS
Participate in peer observation programmes
Attend and contribute to staff meetings (weekly)
Input grades for students in iTracker on a fortnightly basis
Write student reports when required
Administer tests to the class when necessary and to mark them and return all documents to DOS or ADOS
Be an ambassador for EF and its products, methods and materials
Maintain necessary paperwork as directed by the school administration and carry out administrative duties accordingly
Maintain accurate electronic registers and input student attendance daily into the EF database in accordance with EF policy
Comply with all health and safety regulations as directed by the Health and Safety Officer
Requirements
CELTA / equivalent qualification
Degree
