Objectives of this Role

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the daily work and safety of Warehouse employees engaged in receiving, replenishing and storing products, supervising and coordinating the loading and unloading of inventory including all warehouse functions, receivers and forklift operators.
  • Maintaining relationships across internal and external logistics network to ensure shipments are delivered to the customer within the requested delivery window.
  • Liaise with relevant departments as well as the Senior Management Team to ensure correct and efficient scheduling of inbound stock, as well as organising workload of Warehouse staff to ensure correct and efficient scheduling of outbound deliveries.
  • Ensure correct labelling, with labels facing outwards, of all inbound items, as well as tracking and storage of these items within the Warehouse.
  • Monitoring stock levels, including but not limited to stock checking and stock counts.
  • Responsible for collaborating with our Stock Controller to ensure stock inventory and stock locations are kept accurate, relevant and up to date on the company's internal software system.
  • Consistent forward planning to create space for new ranges and ensuring old ranges are fully cleared.
  • Manage & develop direct reports to achieve business goals & objectives.
  • Manage effective communications across the warehouse department and with the relevant management team members.
  • Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyse productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention.
  • Ensure all administration functions required by the operation are completed correctly and on time.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure the warehouse and its staff are compliant with all Health and Safety requirements.
  • Additional Ad-hoc Warehouse Manager duties as needed.

Ideal Candidate

  • Should be highly motivated.
  • Capable of working on their own initiative.
  • You will need 2+ years' experience in Team Leading/People Management.
  • Previous experience in warehouse department management an advantage.
  • Proven IT skills- Microsoft word/excel/outlook essential with strong ability to manage stock control systems.
  • Strong organisational and self-management skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks within a busy environment and to specific time frames.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a pressurised environment and with individuals at all levels.

The Opportunity
The Warehouse Manager willoversee daily operations within a fast-paced, GDP/GMP regulated warehouse environment. They will be responsible for leading a team of five managing recruitment, training, performance and continuous improvement. They will collaborate with other departments within the business to ensure timely and accurate distribution of critical medical products while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Oversee Day-to-day Warehouse Operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch of pharmaceutical goods.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline warehouse processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Management of cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and inventory optimization activities.
  • Ensuring that warehouse equipment is maintained according to the manufacturers recommendations and regulatory standards.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean warehouse environment.
  • Provide direction and guidance to Warehouse Team in managing their daily work priorities.
  • Ensure your team are trained and competent in their areas of responsibility and adhere to all company safety policies.
  • Responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle for your team to include Recruitment, Training & Development, Absence management & Performance management.
  • Recognise and celebrate success on a team and individual level.
  • Collaborate with other departments including logistics and procurement to schedule deliveries and ensure seamless operations.
