What is the Role The General Insurance team is part of the Wealth & Insurance pillar within Retail and is fully responsible for the sales and financial performance of the General Insurance product lines in collaboration with various insurance partners. We are seeking an energetic, driven, and strategic thinker who is not afraid to challenge the status quo to achieve positive business performance outcomes for both the customer and the bank. The role holder will be responsible for reviewing, managing, and improving existing customer journeys and product management. This individual should leverage business and technical knowledge, along with collaboration skills, to ensure alignment between the bank's needs and the services provided by our partners. Additionally, they will ensure that the ecosystem of our insurance partners is optimised to deliver agreed services and evolve in line with the strategic direction and regulatory requirements of our business. General Insurance operates in a rapidly changing environment, providing an opportunity for the right individual to continue protecting and growing the business. Key accountabilities: Review, manage, and improve existing customer journeys to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Collaborate with various insurance partners and internal stakeholders to support the management of General Insurance products, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and market demands. Challenge the status quo and contribute to the development of innovative strategies to achieve positive business performance outcomes. Ensure all activities and products comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Champion a customer-first approach to ensure processes and procedures consistently promote good outcomes for all customers. Ensure robust control and excellence in operational risk management, complying with legal and regulatory obligations, and adhering to internal controls and business ethics. Collaborate with all business areas to meet shared objectives, operate effectively and foster open communication. Hold oneself and others accountable for commitments, act with ownership, communicate clearly, and take personal responsibility for decisions and outcomes. What you Will Bring: Experience in managing commercial relationships, demonstrating strong and effective communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal. Ability to partner with various stakeholders to develop plans and execute in a complex business area, working effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines. Demonstrates up-to-date knowledge of industry regulatory requirements relevant to the business and ensures their implementation and monitoring where required. A motivated self-starter with experience in developing and implementing change initiatives. Experience in the personal lines insurance industry is desirable Why work for AIB? Job Title: Senior Analyst, Marketing Strategy & Performance - Technical Analytics (Contractor) Department: Strategy & Operations - Performance Function, Global Field Marketing (GFM) About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst with a strong foundation in data engineering best practices to join our Global Marketing Strategy & Performance team. This role is pivotal in co-leading the development of a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) reporting and insights framework for Global Field Marketing (GFM). You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design unified datasets, build interactive dashboards, and create standardised scorecards that drive strategic decision-making. This is more than a support role-you'll be a key partner and co-lead, shaping the direction of the SSOT initiative. Your expertise in Tableau, SQL, and data engineering will be essential in building scalable, efficient, and insightful reporting solutions. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and execution of the SSOT framework, applying data engineering principles to ensure scalability and accuracy. Consolidate and integrate data from multiple marketing systems into unified datasets using best-in-class data practices. Write and optimise advanced SQL queries (including dbt) for data extraction, transformation, and analysis, with a focus on performance and efficiency. Design and build automated, interactive Tableau dashboards that enhance data accessibility and visual storytelling. Collaborate with the SSOT development team on technical planning, implementation, and decision-making. Own and execute tasks on the SSOT roadmap, including data workflows and scorecard development. Develop standardised performance scorecards based on defined templates to ensure consistency and usability. Proactively identify and resolve data issues using structured, process-oriented approaches. Contribute to documentation and best practices for Tableau, SQL, and SSOT methodologies. Provide technical guidance and support to team members, sharing insights and collaborating on solutions. Required Skills & Experience: 4-6+ years in Marketing Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a similar data-focused role with a strong emphasis on data visualisation and engineering. Expert-level Tableau skills for dashboard development, automation, and complex visualisations. Advanced SQL proficiency, including experience with dbt and Snowflake. Proven ability to consolidate and integrate data from multiple sources using sound data management principles. Solid understanding of data warehousing, data modelling, ETL processes, and project management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated experience in leading projects and developing dynamic reporting templates and scorecards. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
