**Position Brand Description:**
The Lilly Scientist - API/Dry Product Network is rapidly expanding to meet the demand for new products, and several new greenfield sites are under construction and will be starting up in the coming years. The new sites are staffed based on full-scale, steady state production, however additional surge capacity is needed to support the site start-up and help quickly ramp to full capacity rates.
The Scientist - ADN RAMP (Rapid Access to Medicines for Patients) team is a cross-functional team that will bring deep manufacturing expertise and will support each site start-up through Operational Excellence knowledge, rapid troubleshooting and problem-solving capability, and surge capacity resources. This unique opportunity will enable team members to work at our new sites, create a larger Lilly network, build and use their technical skills, and learn leadership skills through formal training and on-the-ground experiences. This team will also build strategies to help other new Lilly sites to start up faster, helping to accelerate Lilly's vision of serving more patients.
Success in this challenging role will require supporting the sites through startup, through direct technical execution, coaching next employees, and strong collaboration - and development of the local technical and operational teams to be ready for full operation.
The team will directly report through their respective functions but will be coordinated by the Ramp Team Sr. Director.
**Key Objectives/Deliverables** **:**
Responsible for the development, implementation and establishing ongoing monitoring of the Contamination Control Strategy (CCS) for new site facilities including but not limited to:
Facility /Utility Controls:
+ In collaboration with the New Site CCS team, design, implement, support validation of and maintenanceofroutine and Batch Specific environmental monitoring (EM) programs.
+ Where necessary, design, implement, support validationof Clean Utilities microbiological monitoring programs.
+ Support aseptic qualification /requalification programs.
+ Liaise with engineering on the New Facility design requirements to support CCS such as but not limited to pressurization cascades, area classification, material, personnel and equipment flows.
Material controls:
+ Provide microbiological control strategy support for Raw Materials.
+ Provide the Microbiological Controls to support the Resin Management programs where necessary.
+ Liaise with Quality Assurance to ensure microbiological controls are considered in the application of Vendor Management such as but not limited to approval of GMP Service providers, risk assessment of GMP Consumables and approval of new raw materials.
Equipment Controls:
+ Liaise with cleaning validation group on microbial requirements for cleaning validation.
+ Provide Microbiological support to C&Q such as but not limited to commissioning and qualification of cGMP autoclaves and Parts Washers (SOP and COP studies) and steam in place (SIP) systems in Biotech facilities.
+ Provide Microbiological support for process support qualification (PSQ) studies such media challenges, Media and Buffer Hold Time Studies and resin lifetime studies.
+ Liaise with Engineering on filtration requirements to support product specific elements of contamination control strategy.
Product Controls:
+ Ensure implementation of the microbiological requirements for the integrated product control strategy.
+ Provide direction on handling of non-conforming results.
+ Support Microbiological trend analysis and metrics reporting as required.
+ Member of the deviation response team for management of suspect Microbiological Contamination events.
+ Provide microbiological support for procedural and batch record updates as required.
+ Stay current with Industry trends and updates to applicable guidelines such as ISO standards and GMP requirements within area of responsibility.
+ Coach and mentor site CCS teams on implementation and maintenance of all CCS programs.
**Basic** **Requirements:**
+ BSc Microbiology, Biochemistry or related science field with 8-10 years' experiencein pharmaceuticalmanufacturing.
+ MScMicrobiology, Biochemistryor science-related fieldwith minimum 5 years appropriate industry experience.

+ Provide technical leadership support to the new site TSMS team for technology transfers from sending manufacturing sites or Development (internal or external).
+ Leverage prior experience to anticipate commercial manufacturing challenges for new small molecule/synthetic active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) through new site start-ups and scale increases. Work with the local TSMS team to mitigate such challenges.
+ Work across the Development organization and Manufacturing site(s) to implement appropriate product control strategies based on anticipated needs of the new site?
+ Establish strong working relationships with Lilly's Small Molecule development organization (SMDD) to ensure development knowledge is well established and available to support the new site tech transfer.
+ Establish depth of understanding of control strategy (CS) of molecules being transferred and work with the site TSMS team to translate this control strategy into unit operation requirements to ensure robust and right first time technology transfer to new facilities.
+ Have a depth of understanding of the analytical control strategy of the product being transferred that allows critical technical review of the implementation of the analytical CS at the new site, including process analytical technology for on line and at line monitoring and control.
+ Manage internal and external relationships in cases where new manufacturing facilities are receiving materials from External Manufacturing teams - providing additional technical support/guidance for external manufacturing as needed?
+ Lead resolution of technical issues including those related to control strategy and operational challenges at the site.
+ Collaboratively integrate different disciplines such as engineering and analytical science on technical projects, process performance improvements, or control strategy effectiveness? Provide proficient data analysis and conclusions considering technical, Regulatory and Quality compliance, and business needs?
+ Work closely with Development and Global Regulatory teams to author/review regulatory submission documents and subsequently respond to Information Requests/Regulatory Questions.
+ Prepare, review, and approve study designs, protocols, technical reports, and other related technical documentation?

**Overview**
SMBC are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Enterprise Agile Tooling Lead to join our team. This pivotal role will drive the implementation, adoption, and governance of enterprise-level agile tooling that supports the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) across the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in integrating agile practices into SDLC processes. You will be responsible for defining and evolving tooling standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams and control functions to ensure consistent, scalable, and value-driven use of the Development Tooling Platform.
This role will report to the Executive Director of Enterprise Architecture.
**Responsibilities**
+ Acts as a subject matter expert for Enterprise Agile Tooling (e.g. Jira, Trello, Atlassian plugins, planning poker), managing product backlogs, vendor relationships, upgrades, feature adoption, and integrations with SDLC tooling.
+ Lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancements of agile tooling ensuring alignment with SDLC processes and regulatory requirements.
+ Evaluate, select, and configure agile tools and technologies to support efficient software development and delivery.
+ Define and maintain key delivery metrics and dashboards (e.g., velocity, throughput, WIP, risk posture) tailored for both executive and operational stakeholders.
+ Develop and deliver training sessions, playbooks, and knowledge assets to promote best practices and consistent usage of agile tooling across the organization.
+ Ensure seamless integration of agile tooling with DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD platforms, test automation frameworks, and governance processes (e.g., risk assessments, code scanning, change management)
+ Collaborate closely with engineering, delivery, security, risk, and compliance teams to gather requirements and ensure the tooling ecosystem supports enterprise-wide KPIs, KRIs, KCIs, and policy adherence.
**Qualifications**
+ At least 7 years of experience in agile delivery, enterprise tooling, or software development lifecycle roles.
+ At least 5 years of hands-on experience with enterprise-level agile tooling implementation, administration and user onboarding (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
+ Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certification is required. Atlassian/JIRA Cloud is preferred.
+ Additional certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or SAFe Agilist are desirable.
+ Proven experience working in regulated environments, with exposure to audit, compliance, and control frameworks.

**Key Objectives/Deliverables** **:**
Responsible for the development, implementation and establishing ongoing monitoring of the Cleaning Program for new site facilities including but not limited to:
+ Support new site TSMS cleaning teams on developing Cleaning Validation Master Plan for the facility, using expertise and benchmarking from other sites.
+ Develop a standard and clear procedure for conducting a Cleaning Assessment and train relevant personnel on how to implement and maintain.
+ Standardize Cleaning procedures and operating instructions - ensure critical information is present and critical operating parameters for effective cleaning are integrated into electronic tickets.
+ Standardize pre-start safety review for Cleaning and ensure correct involvement of EHS, Engineering and Operations personnel.
+ Ensure cleaning demonstration/validation protocols and reports are standardized and technically correct.
+ Develop appropriate metrics for Cleaning. Support site teams on reporting metrics at Flow Team level.
+ Improve efficiency on cleaning processes and identify projects for improvement (e.g. activities that can run in parallel and those that need to run in sequence).
+ Engage on the development a training program/education for TSMS, Process Engineering, QA and Ops based on the Cleaning Process with site Cleaning team. Work on the roll out of communicating the requirements of each step of the process and ensuring groups have a holistic view of the process.
+ During cleaning execution, provide support to the process teams for cleaning activities ensuring all aspects of the flow are coordinated appropriately. Attend and lead (if required) process team meetings.
+ Coordinate investigations related to cleaning. Trend events across equipment trains and products and drive improvements.
+ Drive improvements in the cleaning program based on external benchmarking / industry trends.
+ Transfer deep understanding of the GQS/Compliance requirements associated with Cleaning.

**Qualifications and Skills**
+ **Vulnerability Management Tools** : Experience with tools like vulnerability scanners, patch management systems, and configuration management tools. (Rapid7, ServiceNow VR, Tanium, etc.)
+ **Operating Systems:** Familiarity with various operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, and macOS.
+ **Networking:** Understanding of network security principles and protocols.
+ **Security Best Practices:** Knowledge of industry-standard security practices and frameworks such as FFIEC, NIST, and COBIT.
+ **Compliance Standards:** Awareness of relevant security standards and regulations.
+ **Communication and Collaboration:** Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with various teams.
+ **Data reporting and normalization** within ServiceNow including ITAM and CMDB
