Principal Accountabilities:
- Ensure the successful design of control systems and programming code within the defined budget and time expectations set by the Project Manager.
- Develop controls design activities and related documents following Allied Automation Processes & Standards, ensuring compliance with industry standards as per URS.
- Create specific programs based on customer and project requirements, adhering to the Allied automation Coding Standard.
- Participate in controls and validation activities, including testing and debugging, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Work closely with the project team to fine-tune PLC code during the testing and development phases of projects.
- Provide support to Greatech customers both on and off-site on all advanced industrial automation equipment supplied by Greatech.
- Interface with the Customer, Project Manager, Design Engineers, and other project team members as required to ensure smooth project execution.
- Assist the management team in identifying new product opportunities, working with the controls team to design, develop, and test PLC code in accordance with site coding standards.
- Develop and test various aspects of automation systems, including robotics, vision, PLC, HMI/SCADA, and Motion Control.
- Co-ordinate and manage the controls elements of the build and debug process of equipment.
- Complete the controls aspects of projects within the allocated schedule and budget.
- Assist in researching and implementing new control technologies to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.
Qualification, Experience and Knowledge:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- The person should be qualified to an appropriate level of engineering and have a demonstrated track record in controls/PLC programming.
- Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley control systems including Servo motion control and FactoryTalk View ME/SE.
- Strong knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP & IO Link).
- Experience in robotics and vision systems is beneficial.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills are necessary.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring projects are completed to a high standard and on schedule.
- Ability to work as part of a flexible, dynamic team, while taking responsibility for individual tasks.
- Understanding of GAMP 5 documentation standards is beneficial.

This role will primarily focus on ensuring the quality and reliability of software through automation and testing. Key Responsibilities
- Working with a team of digital manufacturing/automation engineers managing and delivering projects to customer sites.
- Developing engineering design documents, technical evaluations, and test plans for cGMP process equipment and following GAMP 5 guidelines.
- Design and coding of industrial process automation solutions on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- Production of I/O schedules
- Preparation of Functional Design specifications
- Design and configuration of user interface systems for industrial control (HMI/SCADA)
- Design of control panels and creation of panel wiring schematics
- Commissioning of control systems in the field: I/O and instrumentation testing, full testing and commissioning of automation systems
- Fault finding of control systems (PLC, HMI/SCADA, Communication Networks etc.)
- Providing design and approval for hardware, software, and controls for automated systems.
- Working closely with customers to identify areas for improvement through the use of automation and data analytics technology.
- Providing technical and automation operational support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation and Facilities departments.
- Mentoring and training of graduate/junior engineers.
Experience & Skills
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Computer Science / Information Systems or related field.
- 7+ years' automation engineering experience.
- PLC Programming Experience: Siemens/ Rockwell
- HMI / SCADA Experience: Siemens / Rockwell/ AVEVA / Schneider.
- Knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring.
- Experience with control networks and communications systems (Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet).
Desired
- Experience working with validated Automation systems in the Pharmaceutical or Food Beverage manufacturing environment.

The Role
We are seeking an Automated Tester to join our technology team. This role is central to ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of our products, including SaaS cloud applications, mobile platforms, and AI/ML-enabled services. The successful candidate will design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with development, DevOps, and data science teams to drive continuous quality.
This position will involve broad test automation responsibilities across web, mobile, and API layers, while also developing specialised test practices for machine learning and generative AI systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, mobile, APIs, and machine learning services
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC
- Implement and manage CI/CD test pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Develop test strategies and plans covering functional, regression, integration, performance, and security aspects for Automated testing.
- Ensure automated test coverage for data-driven and ML-enabled services, including validation of data inputs/outputs.
- Continuously improve test reliability, execution speed, and reporting visibility.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint ceremonies to champion quality-first practices.
- Monitor and troubleshoot failed test runs, providing root cause analysis and solutions.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as an Automated Tester or QA Engineer in SaaS, mobile, or complex service environments
- Solid experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with mobile testing across iOS and Android (native and hybrid)
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or C#
- Experience with test reporting and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or Datadog
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with performance and load testing (JMeter, k6, Locust)
- Familiarity with security testing practices and tools
- Understanding of data pipelines, feature stores, or ML Ops workflows
- Exposure to infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
