Chassis Shop Trainer ? Antrim | 4-Day Week (Monday-Thursday) ? Competitive Salary | Full-Time, Permanent ? This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on professional to transition into a training and mentoring role, helping to shape the next generation of skilled tradespeople in a busy chassis manufacturing environment. About the Role: As Chassis Shop Trainer, you'll work closely with the Training Manager and production supervisors to upskill new and existing team members on the shop floor. You don't need to have worked in a formal training role before - if you've got strong welding/fabrication experience and a passion for helping others grow, this role could be your ideal progression path. What You'll Be Doing: Deliver hands-on training and support to new starters within the chassis department. Upskill current welders and fabricators to ensure consistent quality and high standards. Support the development of work instructions and training documentation. Maintain accurate training records and monitor staff compliance and progress. Collaborate with supervisors and cell leaders to provide feedback on operator development. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement on the shop floor. Support with H&S validations and ad hoc training duties as required. What You'll Need: Strong welding or chassis fabrication background (experience with spec sheets and chassis drawings essential). Excellent communication skills and a desire to mentor and support others. Organised and confident with basic IT tools (e.g., Microsoft Office). A team-focused, proactive mindset with attention to quality and safety. Comfortable working on the production floor in a hands-on environment.
