Are you ready to lead the charge in transforming enterprise AI initiatives? As a Senior Machine Learning Operations Engineer at McKesson, you'll be at the forefront of our big bet AI projects, harnessing the power of machine learning to drive innovation across the organization. You'll take the helm in the full project lifecycle, focusing on deploying and managing solutions within our MLOps enterprise platform.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract role in which you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to crafting robust machine learning applications at scale. Your expertise will guide the detailed technical design, development, and implementation of state-of-the-art ML solutions. You'll not only design and review model architectures but also ensure the seamless integration and performance of these applications. Responsibilities:- End-to-End ML Engineering: Engage in a wide array of ML engineering activities, from Ops and Modeling to Data Engineering, ensuring a comprehensive approach to enterprise solutions.
- Innovative Model Design: Collaborate with business leadership and Data Science teams to design, build, and deliver ML models that tackle real-world business challenges.
- Strategic Infrastructure Decisions: Utilize your deep understanding of ML techniques to inform infrastructure choices, considering model types, data selection, hyperparameter tuning, and validation.
- Complex Problem Solving: Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate testing and deployment processes to tackle complex problems.
- Model Management: Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production, ensuring they perform optimally and adapt to changing data landscapes.
- Cloud-Based Optimization: Leverage cloud-based architectures to deliver scalable and efficient ML models.
- Data Pipeline Construction: Develop optimized data pipelines to support ML models with high-quality data in collaboration with data engineering.
- CI/CD Excellence: Implement continuous integration and deployment best practices, including test automation and monitoring, to ensure successful model deployments.
- Governance and Best Practices: Manage code to minimize vulnerabilities, govern models from a risk perspective, and adhere to Responsible and Explainable AI principles.
- Programming Proficiency: Utilize Python, Rust, C++ to develop high-quality, maintainable code.
- 7+ years industry experience
- 4+ years programming experience with Python. Rust and C++ are nice to have.
- 3+ years designing and building data-intensive solutions with distributed computing.
- 2+ years with industry-recognized ML frameworks (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Spark, Ray).
- 1+ year productionizing, monitoring, and maintaining models.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 1+ years building, scaling, and optimizing ML systems.
- 1+ years in data gathering and preparation for ML models.
- 2+ years developing performant, resilient, and maintainable code.
- Experience with Azure for developing, deploying, and monitoring of production ML solutions.
- Advanced degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- 3+ years with distributed file systems or multi-node database paradigms.
- 3+ years building production-ready data pipelines for ML models.
- Experience with Terraform and DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines.

Our Base Pay Range for this position is €69,000 - €115,000.

Machine Learning Engineer - PyTorch / C++ / NPU Architecture
We are partnered with a global semiconductor leader seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join their NPU Architecture Team. This is a chance to shape the future of energy-efficient ML technology used in billions of devices worldwide.
Responsibilities- Develop and enhance ML compilers using PyTorch and C++ for advanced NPU architecture
- Design and implement quantization techniques to improve model efficiency and accuracy
- Optimize ML workloads for high performance and low power consumption
- Collaborate with strategic customers to deliver tailored ML solutions
- Partner with architecture and software teams to integrate new ML technologies
- Research, prototype, and implement compiler and system-level optimizations
- Strong background in PyTorch and C++ programming
- Experience in ML compiler development, quantization, and workload analysis
- Familiarity with TensorFlow or ONNX a plus
- Solid understanding of hardware-aware ML solutions and performance optimization
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
- Experience deploying ML models on NPUs, GPUs, or TPUs
- Understanding of system-level architecture and low-level programming
- Research or publications in ML-related fields
