About the RoleYour responsibilities will include:
- Leading projects and effectively communicating with stakeholders and collaborators.
Actively participating in pooling and analyzing multimodal clinical trial data to address important scientific questions, such as target discovery, compound prioritization, disease progression and indication expansion, in close collaboration with teams from across Novartis.
Develop and apply advanced ML and AI algorithms tailored to biomedical data, including deep learning models, to derive actionable insights from complex multimodal datasets.
- Acting as a connector between data resources and project teams, enhancing the generation of hypotheses by sharing insights derived from or applied to data from different drug development pipeline phases.
Role Requirements:
- PhD in data science, machine learning, bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field, with substantial postdoctoral (or equivalent) experience in academia or the pharmaceutical industry.

- Proven experience in professional software development practices: code standards, code review, version control, continuous integration, testing.

The Opportunity
As the Senior Data Scientist at Kargo, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction of our adtech company's mission-critical auction based models. You will be a part of a cutting edge adtech auction optimization team to support our integrations with DSP and internal auction mechanisms to deliver the highest outcomes possible for our clients across industry verticals. You'll drive alongside other data scientists and machine learning experts to deploy, test, and experiment with models. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, industry knowledge, and strategic thinking to enhance our modeling infrastructure and address the unique challenges of Kargo's clients.
The Daily To-Do
- Spend your days working on increasing Kargo's margins and auction in the real-time auction. You'll dream about client ROI, win-rates, auction dynamics, and efficiency gains for the company.
- You'll be working with our data across the oRTB spec for all media channels as well as our advanced user and targeting data
- Work within a team of data scientists and machine learning experts, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Collaborate closely with the audience, application engineering leads, data engineering, and analytics teams to develop and refine data-driven strategies.
- Work in consultation with product management and business stakeholders to understand client needs and translate them into actionable data science projects.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our real-time bidding systems.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in adtech, particularly in areas related to machine learning and real-time data processing.
- Drive the continuous improvement of our modeling infrastructure to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment of data science initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Present insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications :
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Significant experience working with scalable modeling frameworks
- Hands on SQL and Python experience in their past several years
- Extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and adtech.
- Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing data science teams.
- Strong technical expertise in real-time bidding, OpenRTB, and related technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
