About the role

An opportunity has arisen within our Private Clients division for a Financial Planning Associate on our Financial Planning Team. The role will collaborate with the Financial Planning Specialists and Private Client Advisers for our private clients within our key client segments – Business owners, Professionals & Executives and Lifestyle Solutions to produce bespoke goals-based financial plans catered specifically towards our client's needs. Once an initial training period is completed, this will be a client facing role and will provide a great insight into the wealth management industry with a focus on career progression.

In the role, the successful candidate will:

• Create goals based financial plans and investment solutions for clients, incorporating pension, tax and investment disciplines solving the clients needs.
• Liaise with technical specialists within the team and Private Client Adviser's in preparing and delivering financial plans, applying knowledge and skills you will acquire.
• Use internal cashflow modelling tools.
• Engage with clients both personally and digitally in the end-to-end process from factfinding to presenting financial plans.
• Continue to build upon segment specific solutions.
• Assist in the implementation of actions identified during the planning process;
• Produce regular reviews of financial plans to meet the changing needs of our clients;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and solutions;
• Assist with the production of other client material;
• Project work as required
• Contribution to content creation
• Comply with the Risk and Compliance frameworks, policies and procedures associated with the role.

About you

We are looking for somebody has the following background and skills:

• Degree or Masters level qualification;
• Knowledge of or previous experience within pension, tax and/or investment disciplines desirable but not essential;
• QFA qualification (or willingness to complete)
• CFP qualification (or willingness to complete)
• A high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, listening and communication skill with a high level of empathy.
• A flexible, positive attitude towards work;
• An ability to work effectively as part of a growing & energetic team;
• An ability to prioritise and manage own workload

The successful candidate will provide financial analysis to Operational & Finance management on the historical and current financial performance and future outlook of portfolios of work within the Large Pharma Division. The successful candidate will use their strong analysis skills and relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of the portfolio of work, form an opinion on the short, medium and long term financial outlook of the portfolio, identify future financial risk/opportunity and partner with Operations colleagues to drive revenue growth and margin expansion actions.

• Responsible for the financial management of individual studies, for both internal and client reporting.
• Conduct financial reviews with operational teams to discuss study financial health and agree appropriate actions.
• Preparation of internal study report documenting Key financial risks and mitigating actions (Resource utilisation, Days on Site productivity, etc).
• Preparation of client reports which may contain financial analysis, forecasting, metrics and dashboards to support the client in their financial planning and month end process.
• Preparation of financial reporting packages for operations with insightful commentary and analysis.
• Identification of Out of Scope activities, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow through.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial forecasts and budget reconciliations.
• Identification of key Revenue and Margin drivers within the portfolio.
• Support the preparation of ad-hoc management presentations.

What you will ideally need:

• Qualified Financial Professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA Ireland) aligned with an Irish Accountancy body, with a minimum of 2 years PQE preferred.
• Solid academic record and strong quantitative skills.
• Analytically minded, seeks out problem solving opportunities.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Effective interpersonal skills (verbal and written) to communicate with peers, managers and Business Lead executives.
• Prior relevant experience in financial analysis or financial planning and analysis is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint.

We are looking for a Commercial Financial Analyst to join out team in Dublin area

Main duties and responsibilities

The commercial analyst will oversee the analytical running of their dedicated contracts across Ireland, working closely with the wider commercial, finance and operations teams to deliver overall profitability for the business, client reporting, preparation of financial pricing models for month-end and year-end reporting and business tool reporting.

• Oversee and follow up on all weekly and monthly profitability figures associated with your designated client accounts.
• Overseeing the monitoring and improving Customer KPIs/Profitability.
• Provide management information that is accurate, timely, accessible, insightful, and robust to improve commercial decision-making.
• Margin protection and tracking of account growth. Maintained through overseeing and conducting monthly commercial performance meetings.
• Responsible for the Annual Account Budgets & any re-forecasts required. Ensure reporting and monitoring of performance against budget.
• The role interacts and co-ordinates activities with Accounts, Operations, Technical, Marketing, Sales, and Procurement.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of detailed cost analysis reports as required by customers and businesses to ensure accuracy in reported numbers.
• Roll out best practice commercial finance practices across specific accounts, category management and financial reporting.
• Preparation and review of weekly and monthly financial reports.

Qualifications and Experience

• Ideally, Third Level of Business/Accounting or Commerce Degree
• Excel modelling experience
• Previous experience in commercial analytics.
• Strong influencing skills
• Working knowledge of Navision is an advantage.
• Proven track record of results.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills, as well as the ability to manage several priorities at once, will be required. A high level of flexibility and a high level of commitment to success will also be required.
• Passionate about delivery and customer service
• Excellent PC literacy skills are required.
• Ability to make informed decisions
