The key purpose of this role will be to take responsibility for the Facilities Maintenance of the Bakery environment and to maintain all areas to a high level. Goal is to have all areas audit/visit ready at all times. Responsibilities include: Maintenance and repairs to the fabric and of the Bakery facilities. This extends to Production equipment, guarding and utilities areas. Ensure that all areas are audit ready from a facilities point of view. Work closely with all other departments' personnel to understand issues and to ensure timely and right first time closeout of same. Work with Quality and Hygiene teams on audit/visit preparation and deep cleaning routines. Routine repairs and maintenance tasks as prescribed by the relevant Department Heads. Preparation of the Bakery and Cold Store environments for planned and unplanned audits/visits. Delivering on improvement projects in conjunction with fellow facilities Maintenance Technicians Facilitation of deep cleaning activities as instructed by Quality and Hygiene manager. Closing out tasks like repairs and maintenance to guarding in conjunction with Maintenance Department and H&S Manager. Building proofing, including doors, windows, walls and cable or piping trays as instructed by pest control company via Quality Manager. Routine cleaning tasks in specialist areas like cable trays and electrical control panels. Skills & Qualifications required for this role: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a Facilities Maintenance role. The ideal candidate will ideally be from a Trades background. Experience in Facilities Maintenance desirable but not essential as training will be provided. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and must be proactive, self-motivated with the ability to learn and adapt quickly. Proven experience in an Engineering/Maintenance environment with relevant training and skills would be desirable. Some exposure and experience on computers is required minimum MS office use. The ideal candidate will have the ability to be flexible and work under pressure as well as having the ability to achieve results on their own initiative.
