**Primary Responsibilities:**

**Required Qualifications:**

**Your Impact:**
The Engineering Architect will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software solutions that support demo automation and related platforms. Project Management 10%

Design, develop, document, and maintain a large variety of content, mainly but not limited to demo automation. **Minimum Qualifications:**

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

Software Engineer II -
Provides support of applications software through programming, analysis, design, development and delivery of software solutions. Researches alternative technical solutions for changing business needs.
Major Accountabilities:
-Responsible for programming, testing, implementation, documentation, maintenance and support of systems application software in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes and best practices.
-Develop high quality, secure, scalable software solutions based on technical requirements specifications and design artifacts within expected time and budget.
-Research, create and evaluate technical solution alternatives for the business needs current and upcoming technologies and frameworks.
-Perform feasibility studies, logic designs, detailed systems flowcharting, analysis of input-output flow, cost and time analysis.
-Work with project team to meet scheduled due dates, while identifying emerging issues and recommending solutions for problems and independently perform assigned tasks, perform production incident management. Participate in on-call pager support rotation.
-Document software programs per Software Development Best Practices. Follow MasterCard Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.
-Assist Senior Team members in modification of the documentation templates per the needs of the project and technology.
-Contribute ideas to help ensure that required standards and processes are in place and actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency.

Education:
-Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge / Experience:
-Thorough knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies is required.
-Must demonstrate MC Core Competencies.
-1 to 3 years of experience in software engineering field.
Skills/ Abilities:
-Skilled in writing secure code across languages (Java, Python, Golang, C#) with knowledge of OWASP, CWE, and SEI CERT standards.
-Proficient in debugging, Gitflow, TDD/BDD, and applying design patterns. -Experienced in API development, test pyramid practices, code quality tools (Sonar, Zally, Checkmarx), and agile estimation techniques.
-Must be high-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.
-Must provide the necessary skills to have a high degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities.
-Strong communication skills -- both verbal and written - with strong relationship, collaborative skills and organizational skills.
-Ability to work as a member of matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team.

**_Primary Responsibilities:_**
+ _Perform all phases of software engineering including; requirements analysis, application design, code development, and testing_
+ _Design and implement performance and operational enhancements_
+ _Design & Develop reusable components, patterns, and frameworks, encouraging innovation that will enable team velocity_
+ _Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices and performance improvement_
+ _Conduct design and code reviews to ensure that developed code meets software engineering best practices and guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelines_
+ _Participate in Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases_
+ _Work with a team of software engineers for one or more Agile scrum teams assigned to work on the project_
+ _Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and design solutions as required_
+ _Design, code, test, debug, and document software, whilst enhancing existing components to ensure that software meets business requirements_
+ _Work very closely with architecture groups to drive software solutions_
+ _Contribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software and be able to clearly articulate the implications of design/architectural decisions, issues and plans to technology leadership_
+ _Collaborate on design with other team members and product owners, both inside and outside of the scrum team_
+ _Provide on call support in rotation with team for DevOps service for 24/7 mission critical systems_

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree (or higher) OR equivalent experience

+ Experience with messaging and stream processing on Kafka or similar messaging technologies
+ Relational Database knowledge
+ Experience with cloud services including either AWS or Azure
+ Experience building modular, testable, and reusable software
+ Experience building and integrating with internal and external RESTful services
+ Experience with DevOps toolsets such as Jenkins, Terraform, etc.
+ Software development methodologies including Agile Scrum & Kanban
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience developing analytics applications in Spark or similar
