Overview
Security and Cyber Solutions team develops new capabilities for Mastercard's fraud prevention platform. We protect cardholders / card issuers and aim to eradicate credit card fraud. **About the Role:**
WarpStream is an Apache Kafka compatible data streaming platform built directly on top of object storage with zero local disks. It's delivered to customers as a BYOC-style offering. The WarpStream team is responsible for this product offering from top to bottom, and as a Senior Engineer you'll do everything from working on the storage engine running in the Agents, improving the scalability of our multi-tenant control plane, implementing new features like transactions, active-active multi-regions clusters, and even write some HTML/Javascript for our developer console. We're a small team of <10 engineers, so you'll be expected to work across the entire stack from bashing bits at the network level to making sure our UI provides a great developer experience.
You will have an opportunity to solve complex distributed systems problems at scale. You will build services that can operate across different cloud service providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure. You'll be on-call for all of it.

**Team:**
ServiceNow's Tools, Engineering & Automation (TEA) team leads the design and delivery of AI-powered platforms that streamline cloud operations at scale. TEA designs and delivers solutions leveraging Agentic and Generative AI to reduce manual effort, accelerate incident resolution, and enhance system reliability across our Global Cloud Services. Our tools support internal stakeholders-including Support, SRE, and Business Operations-by enabling intelligent cloud management and automation. You'll collaborate across functions to develop adaptive, AI-driven systems that improve recovery workflows, surface actionable insights, and simplify the administration of complex, multi-instance environments.
**The Role:**
Working with our experienced customer teams, you will understand, design and implement solutions that ensure we continue to efficiently manage our growing cloud infrastructure. You will learn how to develop solutions using the ServiceNow platform, and other programming languages. You do not need to be a cloud infrastructure expert, but you should have an interest in cloud architectures and how they work.
**Responsibilties** :?
+ Build high-quality, clean, scalable?and reusable code by enforcing best?practices around software?engineering architecture and?processes (Code Reviews, Unit?testing, etc.)
+ Work with the product?owners to understand detailed?requirements and own your code?from design, implementation, test?automation and delivery of high-quality product to our?users.
+ Implement software?that is simple to?use to allow customers to?extend and customize the?functionality to meet their specific needs
+ Contribute to the design and?implementation of new solutions and?features while also enhancing the?existing cloud engineering portfolio
+ Be a mentor for colleagues and?help promote knowledge-sharing
+ 3-5 years of experience with Javascript, Java or a?similar OO language
+ Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
+ Preferably experience working with, or integrating with, ML/AI models
+ Passion for JavaScript and the Web as?a platform, reusability, and?componentization
+ Experience with data structures,?algorithms, object-oriented design,?design patterns, and?performance/scale considerations
+ Experience with any of the modern UI?frameworks like Angular, React or Vue
+ Analytical and design skills
