This role is to be based on a client site in Kildare and will initially be a 12 contract with a view being extended.
The Role: We are seeking a Manufacturing Operations Technology Security Lead to oversee and protect the cybersecurity and operational resilience of our sites manufacturing systems.
This role will be pivotal in managing the security of Operational Technology (OT) environments, including SCADA systems, PLCs, industrial networks, and process automation systems.
The successful candidate will act as the sites subject matter expert in OT security, working closely with engineering, IT, and corporate security teams to safeguard critical manufacturing assets.
The Person: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
Strong background in manufacturing automation, process control systems, or industrial engineering.
Hands-on experience with SCADA, PLCs, DCS, and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, OPC, etc.).
Proven track record of managing OT cybersecurity in a large manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of OT/IT convergence and secure integration practices.
Familiarity with cybersecurity standards (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST CSF, ISO 27001).

Job Summary: As Manufacturing Engineer you will work with the conception, design, development and installation of new products or production lines.
Your duties will include improving the production processes to become more cost-effective and efficient over time, resolving technical problems and selecting precision tools for different machines.
Problem solving and root cause analysis.
Principal Accountabilities: Support manufacturing by resolving issues, providing tools, and implementing new products into production.
Lead process optimisation using engineering and continuous improvement techniques to streamline product flow through the manufacturing cell.
Use industrial engineering techniques and company standards to establish resource requirements and material flow.
Analyse product structures and processes to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce costs.
Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimise manufacturing cell performance.
Ensure company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved.
Maintain compliance with ISO/TS16949 standards in the manufacturing area.
Ensure adherence to engineering change control, internal gate timing, customer commitments, project budgets, and departmental procedures.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to quality control processes.
Analyse and report on production processes, downtime, cycle times, machine availability, and waste management.
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with policies and relevant government laws.
Review tool and equipment costs, predict future production overheads, and optimise workflow, space, and equipment placement.
Coordinate maintenance and repairs to keep equipment operational.
Ensure staff adhere to manufacturers procedures when operating equipment.
Oversee the work of technicians and all personnel.
Establish effective work sequences to maximise efficiency.
Skills and Experience required for this role: Degree in Engineering or a related Science discipline.
Working knowledge of: o Automation and Assembly processes o Laser welding systems o Robotics, automation systems & dispense systems, o Validation lifecycle, o Six Sigma problem solving Supervisory experience is an advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
Proficiency in computer-aided modelling and design software.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing production, processes, and equipment.
