Position Summary The Retail Consumer Analytics team is helping lead the effort to transform and drive improved front store consumer experience by partnering with key business areas across CVS Health to deliver impactful analytic solutions and insights. As a member of the Analytics & Behavior Change Pricing Analytics team, you will deliver high visibility analytics projects for key CVS Retail strategic priorities. As an Engineer, you will be joining a team designing, building, and delivering data science solutions for optimal retail pricing for CVS stores. Responsibilities include: You will drive revenue and customer satisfaction in CVS Health's Front Store business using advanced analytic solutions to optimizing merchandising and pricing decisions. You will solve complex problems and deliver decision support tools to improve customer experience. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs and convert them into requirements for solution enhancements or ad hoc analyses. **Your Impact:**
The Engineering Architect will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software solutions that support demo automation and related platforms. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the product owner and content developers as key stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the software solutions effectively address them. You will take full ownership of the development process, ensuring compliance with dCloud's best practices and standards. Additionally, you will manage the development support process, which includes reporting, handling escalations, and facilitating communication. Primary Function
Software Engineer Architect
The candidate must be skilled and demonstrate proficiency in software development focused on architecture design. Deliverables will include development, delivery, and education for the team and organization within this area. Delivery and demonstration opportunities will be both internal and some customer-facing to help drive Cisco sales.
Project Management 10%
Identify and prioritize all project-related tasks. Ability to organize, strategize, and communicate project goals, objectives, and tasks at all levels of the organization. The Engineering Architect will be responsible for effectively reporting status on all projects.
Engineering 50%
Design, develop, document, and maintain a large variety of content, mainly but not limited to demo automation. This will require meeting with content developers, extracting requirements, and helping to create designs conducive to content objectives. Engineers will be responsible for creating and maintaining a library that can be utilized by internal and other developers. Engineers will draft, test, and troubleshoot their work and automation solutions. Provide schematics as required of design concepts aiding in the build and troubleshooting of customer demonstrations.
Platform Design 20%
Properly document and plan all projects prior to entering the build phase. The candidate must be well-versed in the use of standard design templates and tools (Git, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project). The candidate will be required to justify all designs in front of a working peer group.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline
+ 7+ years' experience in a software engineering role or environment
+ Proficiency in Go and Python; Java, Kotlin and/or JavaScript are a strong plus
+ Experience working with Kubernetes, Containers, and Helm

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

What We're Looking for:

At Datavant we value Engineers who problem solve, build, and understand the methodologies and underlying concepts of software engineering. As a Software Engineer you will be a major factor in growing our healthcare data ecosystem solution for our clients. Don't know our tech stack well? We view technology as a means to solving problems and getting things done, we value talent over current tech stack. You will provide hands-on resources who can work on the architect and design level while helping other team members. You will start meaningful work from day one and will be in a stretch role that can propel your career to higher levels.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • 6+ years of hands-on engineering experience delivering production-ready code, conducting thoughtful code reviews, and contributing to full-stack application architecture and design.

  • Strong command of SQL and relational databases, with the ability to model and query data effectively.

  • Experience designing and building scalable data pipelines and flows for high-volume systems.

  • A collaborative mindset. You are energized by fast-paced environments, proactive communication, and working closely with cross-functional teams.

  • A track record of ownership. You have led projects, driven migrations, and consistently shipped impactful features.

  • Educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus.

While not required, familiarity with the following tools and domains will give you a strong edge:

  • Platforms: Building and deploying software on Windows, Mac, and Linux

  • Domain Experience: Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or the Healthcare space, especially around healthcare data, HIPAA, and data privacy.

What You Will Do:

Build and deliver impactful products. Play a key role in the design, implementation, and end-to-end development of critical applications that power our health data ecosystem.

Lead by example. Guide and mentor fellow engineers while solving complex problems and driving technical excellence across the team.

Own your work. Take full ownership of major projects. With minimal bureaucracy and high trust, you'll have the autonomy to make meaningful decisions and move fast.

Innovate for impact. Develop high-value data solutions that help our clients unlock better insights and outcomes from health data.
