Job Title: Staff Grade Occupational Therapist - East Galway (Loughrea or Athboy Base) Job Type: Full-Time agency contract, 6 month contract to begin with Location: East Galway - base in Loughrea or Athboy Salary: HSE Salary Scale (Staff Grade Occupational Therapist) Excel Recruitment have partnered with a leading Primary Care Network in beautiful East Galway to recruit a dedicated Staff Grade Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate Will work alongside three Senior Occupational Therapists and Staff Grade OTs in a close-knit team. Base can be in either Loughrea or Athboy, with access to a wide, diverse client population across Network 7 in East Galway. You will benefit from regular supervision, shared clinical knowledge, and peer support from experienced clinicians. You will develop strong clinical skills within a supportive team. About the Role The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for the provision of a high-quality, person-centred Occupational Therapy service to a designated clinical area(s) and will carry out clinical and educational duties as assigned by the Senior Occupational Therapist / Occupational Therapist Manager. Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions for service users. Manage a caseload and work collaboratively with patients, families, and the wider healthcare team. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans to support clients' independence and well-being. Perform home visits to assess living environments and recommend adaptations to enhance daily functioning. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care and rehabilitation services. Participate in clinical meetings, case conferences, and multidisciplinary collaborations. Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with professional standards. Support service development through audits, quality improvement initiatives, and training activities. Requirements: CORU Registration (or eligibility for registration). A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification (including applicants graduating in 2025). Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience working in a community or domiciliary setting is an advantage. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload. Valid driver's license and access to own vehicle for travel across the South Limerick City region. BROTHERS OF CHARITY SERVICES IRELAND - WEST REGION PERMANENT PART-TIME SENIOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST CHILDREN'S DISABILITY NETWORK TEAM 6 (CDNT-6) JOB REF: 83794 The Role: Children's Disability Network Team 6 (CDNT) provide services to children from 0-18 with complex development needs which include physical, sensory, intellectual disabilities and autism. The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland (BOCSI) are the lead agency for this team. CDNT's are interdisciplinary teams who work within a Family Centred Practice model and work collaboratively with children, families and other stakeholders to meet goals identified by the family. The post holder will be responsible for assessing and delivering intervention to children and young persons in clinic, school, home and community settings, depending on their presentation. Qualifications: Candidates must: Hold an Occupational therapy qualification recognised by the Occupational Therapy Registration Board at CORU, the regulator for Health and Social Care professionals in Ireland. See AND Be registered on the Occupational Therapists Register, maintained by the Occupational Therapy Registration Board at CORU. A full clean driving licence and use of a car is an essential requirement of this post. Experience: Candidates must have at least 3 years post qualification occupational therapy clinical experience. Experience working in an occupational therapy role, working with children with complex developmental disabilities and their families. Skills: Candidates must demonstrate competency in applying theory, knowledge and skills of Occupational Therapy within the service area of people with disabilities. Flexibility and an openness to change are required. Fluency in verbal and written English and a high level of communication skills are essential. Working Hours: 49 hours a fortnight based across a 5 day duty roster. Contracted hours will be between 8am-5pm (liable to change between the hours of 8am - 8pm as future service needs require and flexibility will be required in order to meet service needs). CDNT6 covers a geographical area of: Galway City East/Ballybane, Claregalway, Gort, Headford and Oranmore, the postholder will be expected to be flexible in covering all areas within the CDNT catchment. Annual Leave: 29 days per annum pro-rata per annum. Remuneration: Department of Health Senior Occupational Therapist salary scale (01/03/2025) - € 63,279 x 8 increments - € 74,509 (max) pro-rata per annum. Tenure: This position is permanent, part-time and pensionable.
