Description
Our financial services team is growing across our Cork and Dublin operations and we have a new opportunity for a Life & Pensions Administrator to join us in either location.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work closely with advisors and our administration team to coordinate the daily processing of life & pension new business & existing business:
Process pension, investment & protection business that is submitted by advisors including submitting online, chasing pipeline, and issuing policy documents
Setting up client/policy records on client database
Working with advisors to prepare and issue compliance documents to clients - statement of suitability, research reports, risk profiling etc.
Ensuring files are compliant in line with company's processes and procedures
Establishing & building good relationships with clients
Processing ad hoc requests from customers
Managing daily post and client correspondence
Key Requirements
Customer orientation, displaying a positive attitude and behaviours, awareness and willingness to respond to customers to exceed their needs, requirements and expectations. Strong organisation and administration skills.
- Strong communicator - Able to express yourself clearly and positively, both verbally and in written communication.
- Excellent organiser – including time management and prioritisation. Manages own time effectively and able to manage the expectations of advisors regarding delivery.
- Works at a fast pace but does not sacrifice attention to detail
Additional Requirements
Relevant experience in a similar or busy administration role
APA or QFA desirable but not required
Excellent PC skills - Microsoft Packages etc,

FAAS addresses the CFO's agenda and provides CFOs, controllers, treasurers and audit committees with insight and services to support compliance with evolving financial requirements and help provide transparency and trust in reporting to support better decision-making. We also help to support finance functions with robust financial data analytics and innovation through our tools.

You will play a key role in supporting the development of new, and strengthening existing, client relationships and help our clients, who are leaders in the Financial Services industry, navigate the complex finance issues facing their business.
The FAAS team specialises in supporting our clients in delivering accounting and regulatory change, and implementing finance transformation. FAAS operates within a global and EMEIA network across EY.
Your Key Responsibilities
Within FAAS, you'll work as part of a multi-disciplinary and high-performing team of problem solvers with extensive experience helping financial services organisations solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution in one or more of the following areas:
- Research and develop solutions to complex technical accounting and/or regulatory issues;
- Keep up to date with industry, regulatory and accounting change to proactively develop and present solutions to our clients and potential clients;
- Work with our client's financial and regulatory reporting teams to help deliver insights from financial information and to improve reporting processes;
- Lead the delivery of technical support on ad-hoc accounting and regulatory queries from clients and teams in other service lines and across EMEIA;
- Assist clients with the implementation of new and revised accounting standards, GAAP conversions and regulatory change;
- Lead the planning, execution and delivery of engagements including those involving large scale financial and accounting change or complex transactions in in large Finance functions;
- Lead junior team members effectively, providing support and guidance whilst acting as the key point of contact with senior leaders;
- Leverage technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery; and
- Build strong internal relationships within Assurance and across the other service lines we work with and support.
Skills, experience & qualifications needed:

You can expect plenty of autonomy in this role, so you'll also need the ability to take initiative and seek out opportunities to improve our current processes and ways of working. Fluent English and excellent report writing skills are essential. In addition, to qualify for the role, you ideally will have:
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting and/or other appropriate academic major (including Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance);
- ACA or ACCA certification is desired but not a pre-requisite;
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an auditor for a public accounting firm, and/or industry experience; and
- Excellent project management skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
