The Role & What You Will Be Doing

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here's how the Production Operator role will make an impact:

• To safely carry out production duties as directed in the assigned packaging area.
• To carry out all production operations in the assigned area in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or as directed by the relevant Batch Manufacturing or Packaging instructions.
• To assist, as a member of the Production team, towards the delivery of production output targets and quality levels on schedule.
• To carry out all production operations in the designated area in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
• To complete all documentation and/or electrical batch records relating to production activities as required in a timely fashion.
• To immediately notify the Supervisor or Line/Process Lead of any deviation from SOPs and/or deviations in the standard production process.
• To actively take part in Continuous Improvement on site – e.g. 6S and TPM.
• To ask, if in doubt, about any particular practice or unusual finding.

About Your Skills & Experience

For this role, we're looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

• A third level education is desirable.
• Experience in high speed packaging experience in the Pharmaceutical industry, Medical devices or Food industry will be advantageous.
• Experience with one or more of the following operations would be advantageous: high speed packaging lines and/or working in a GMP Environment).

ROLE: PRODUCTION OPERATOR

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: FULL-TIME/ON-SITE

LOCATION: SWORDS/DUBLIN

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a chemical/pharmaceutical/medical device manufacturing environment
• Knowledgeable in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Excellent oral and communication skills
• Good team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Quality Control experience in a lab setting would be an advantage
• Third-level qualification in Quality/ Engineering, Materials/Science/Mechanical, or Instrumentation would be beneficial

Responsibilities:

• Carry out any process steps required for the manufacture and packing of high-quality products (Storing, retrieving, mixing, and monitoring chemicals used in the production process).
• Adherence to Quality system procedures and all associated manufacturing documentation, which is provided to employees in order to assist them in the manufacture and shipment of high-quality products.
• Troubleshooting issues with production equipment and processes.
• Recording information, such as ingredients, weights, temperature, and in-process inspection, and input into the database.
• Working with other team members to complete the production process.
• Preparing QMS documents that are related production process, such as SOP and Validation documents.
• Responsible for the completion of training in relation to the manufacture and shipment of the product.
• Ensure that a high standard of GMP and housekeeping is maintained in all manufacturing areas.
• Adherence to all Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements in accordance with company Policies.
• Other tasks related may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

We're currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a Pharmaceutical organisation based in Meath.

The role will be responsible for all procedures and processes associated with the manufacture of Commercial Large-Scale Drug Substance at the manufacturing facility. The role will be responsible for the preparation, operation and monitoring of equipment, use of business systems and carrying out tasks including but not limited to the cleaning, validation, in-process testing and basic maintenance of equipment in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

Duties:

• Work with the manufacturing operations group, project design team, the CQV team, the Automation/CSV reps to facilitate the development and validation of the manufacturing facility.
• Support Equipment Design/ HAZOP and Room programming reviews.
• Support Operations team to consistently deliver on specific area Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), e.g., EHS metrics, Production Plan, OEE, compliance and team training.
• Execute commercial manufacturing processes according to established work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Generate SOPS/Electronic Batch Records.
• Adhere to Right First-Time principals.

Education and Experience:

• Experience in a GMP Manufacturing environment required.
• Level 7 qualification in a science or engineering discipline.
• Understanding of Drug Substance Manufacturing Operations beneficial.
