THE POSITION
Reporting to the Logistics Director, the post of Sales Director is a newly created, high-impact commercial leadership position focused on accelerating growth within the Irish market for a leading international logistics enterprise.
As part of the organisation's ongoing strategic evolution, a cutting-edge, fully automated, zero-operating-carbon warehouse has recently been developed. The business now seeks an experienced and highly connected Sales Director to take this innovative storage solution to market, capitalise on new business opportunities, and lead the commercial drive toward sustainable, scalable growth.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should be operating at or near Sales Director level, ideally with senior commercial experience in logistics, supply chain, or related sectors. A background in warehouse storage or logistics contracts, along with strong industry relationships, particularly across Food, Pharma and Retail, would be highly advantageous. A solid understanding of the Irish logistics landscape and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are also desirable.
REMUNERATION
A competitive remuneration package will be on offer to successful candidate.
The position will be offered based on an initial 12-month fixed term contract subject to review thereafter.

The Director of Sales - Dublin (DOS Dublin) will have a primary focus on business development within the leisure travel market while also providing support to sales activities within all market segments, including corporate transient, and MICE sales. This role supports the Group Director of Sales, managing the day-to-day operations of the sales team, guiding performance, and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Planning (Leisure, MICE, Corporate):
- Develop and execute targeted sales strategies for the leisure, MICE, and corporate segments, aligning with the overall goals of O'Callaghan Collection.
- Identify and capitalise on emerging trends within each segment, tailoring offerings to meet the needs of leisure clients, corporate clients, and event planners.
- Represent O'Callaghan Collection at trade shows, independent sales missions, and other strategic face-to-face sales opportunities to drive brand awareness and revenue growth.
- Work with the Group Director of Sales to set clear revenue goals and forecasts for each market segment, ensuring alignment with property objectives.
- Cultivate relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, independent travel advisors, and group organisers to increase room nights and overall revenue in the leisure segment.
- Oversee the development of leisure promotions, packages, and marketing efforts, in close collaboration with the marketing department.
- Identify key leisure travel trends and adjust sales tactics to attract international and domestic guests, families, and other key leisure audiences.
- MICE and Corporate Sales:
- Develop MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) opportunities by promoting O'Callaghan Collection MICE offerings.
- Develop relationships with corporate clients, conference organisers, and incentive groups to drive event bookings, conferences, and corporate retreats.
- Work closely with the event management and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of meetings and events that exceed client expectations.
- Support the Group Director of Sales in overseeing the daily management of the sales department, including monitoring sales activities, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring team alignment with revenue goals.
- Lead, motivate, and guide the sales team, ensuring they meet targets across leisure, MICE, and corporate segments.
- Coordinate cross-departmental efforts with marketing, operations, and revenue management to ensure cohesive execution of sales strategies and initiatives.
- Conduct regular team meetings, providing guidance, setting priorities, and offering solutions to any challenges.
