**Role Description**
SMBC's Regulatory Reporting IT is responsible for supporting Controllers to file financial reports to FED and other US regulatory boards. The team focuses on creating/managing applications to process, orchestrate and curate data from multiple systems for reporting purposes. The Vice President will be responsible for data analysis and working closely with stakeholders across SMBC Americas.
**Role Objectives**
+ We are looking for a business/data analyst to join our team and help us deliver key Regulatory Reporting IT initiatives. You will be responsible for:
+ Working with large and complex datasets using various tools and techniques
+ Analyzing and interpreting data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies

**Qualifications and Skills**
+ To be successful in this role, you should have:
+ A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as business, finance, economics, statistics, or computer science
+ At least 3 years of experience as a business or data analyst in the finance industry, working on large-scale initiatives
+ Experience with using product data models
+ Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
+ Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to successfully influence and build effective partnerships with all levels of team members and colleagues

This is a R&D Software Test Infrastructure development role in Virtuoso Studio RF (VSRF) which is a RF design analysis and implementation platform. For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Object Oriented Software Design and Development
- Comfortable developing on both Windows and Mac
- Experience with high level, strongly typed languages such as C++, C#, Java, or Flutter/Dart
- Knowledge of functional programming paradigms
- Strong CS fundamentals, including Algorithms, Computer Architecture, modern Operating systems and Computer Security
- A degree in computer science or related work experience
- Experience interfacing with hardware
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
