Galmere was established in 1989 and is based in a BRC A and Organic accredited facility in Galway, Ireland. We produce fresh food for retailers and brand owners including Cully & Sully, Lidl, Tesco, Aldi and Musgrave as well as our own brands Pestle + Mortar sauces and The Galway Kitchen houmous.
The Role
- Reporting to the Quality Manager
- Support the NPD team in the development and implementation of new food product ranges
- Work with the operational management team to train, mentor and monitor team members to ensure we maintain our quality standards
- Participate with Quality Team in the management of our GFSI and customer standards, to always maintain audit ready status
- Investigate, monitor and resolve day to day quality issues and implement any resulting corrective and preventative actions
- Inspections and assessments of raw materials, packaging, machinery and finished products.
- Calibrations and record keeping on weighing machines, pH and temp probes
- Liaise with hygiene team and swab testing during production
- Validation checks on packaging for outgoing products
- Supplier non-conformance log, internal non-conformance Log
- Allergen control checks

Role Related Activities

Specific Tasks & Responsibilities
· Ensuring compliance to documented procedures so that product safety, quality, legal and integrity standards are met.

Role Purpose
The Supervisor is responsible for the organisation and monitoring of the team to assist them to achieve key objectives. The Supervisor will drive performance and assess progress of his/her team by regular measurement against defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
