As a Process Engineer Lead Dosimetry you will lead a team of professionals, technical and/or administrative staff. You will mentor, coach, and coordinate.

You will execute highly complex or specialized projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, analyze, and report on production line performance, proactively spotting issues that could hinder efficiency. Utilize structured problem-solving techniques to tackle challenges and improve quality and output in your designated areas.

  • Develop specifications and operational guidelines for processing equipment, ensuring that the correct sequence of operations is followed.

  • Diagnose and resolve engineering challenges associated with processes or equipment currently in use.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in processes and procedures.

  • Take the lead on corrective and preventive actions, as well as managing investigations related to process performance.

  • May oversee technical personnel, providing mentorship and guidance to both direct reports and junior staff. Identify essential skills within the team and conduct gap analyses to support development plans and succession strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • NFQ Level 7 Qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, or a related discipline.

  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience or a comparable blend of education and professional experience in engineering.

  • Proficient in analyzing data, discussing insights, and resolving intricate analytical issues.

  • Ability to identify negative trends and emerging challenges effectively.

  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities will be considered a significant advantage.

  • A proactive and innovative approach to tasks is necessary.

  • Familiarity with electron beam, gamma, or other sterilization technologies is preferred.

+ Report on and support the implementation of actions to reduce the occurrence/reoccurrence of non-conformances within Manufacturing, Product Test and Incoming Material and initiating Exception Reports for discrepancies observed during inspection / testing & review activities.
+ Present and communicate status, report metrics, identify trends potential issues, improvement initiatives and CAPA requirements.
+ Investigating customer complaints and forwarding reports to PQA group and responsible for maintaining Corrective and Preventive Action programs.
+ Responsible for maintaining an appropriate balance of quality, compliance and business risk and responsible for ensuring teams use appropriate risk management tools to prioritize certain activities and justify the level of effort required.
+ Monitor and maintain the quality and compliance status of associated quality records and ensure project teams maintain project records in compliance with Quality System and planned requirements.
+ Support DMR change control and calibration activities.

Abbott Diabetes Care has opened a new site, in Kilkenny, that is at the forefront of Diabetes care with the latest technology, to manufacture FreeStyle blood glucose test strips and FreeStyle Sensors for use in diabetes management. Among Abbott Diabetes Care leading brands are the FreeStyle Precision, FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre systems.
**MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE**
The main responsibility of the Training Coordinator is to monitor and complete site training queries, ensuring delivery of safe and effective products that meet customer needs whilst maintaining compliance.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Monitoring and answering the training queries submitted via the training request system and mailbox.
- Entering new hires/employees into the training system in a timely manner and ensuring the correct training plan is assigned.
- Running reports to ensure the training system is in a constant state of compliance.
- Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Provision of assistance to various functions on the correct selection of training plans and training materials.
- Perform Quality review of training documentation in accordance with approved procedures to ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices.
**_QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE_**
- Minimum Level 7 NFQ qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 2+ years previous experience in medical / pharmaceutical industry would be preferred.
- Experience with LMS platforms and e-learning tools.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and adaptability in dynamic environments.

In this role you will be responsible for assisting with the execution of the validation activities for the ADC assembly lines and facility in Kilkenny. You will be responsible for executing on validation activities for systems and processes used to manufacture, control and store intermediates and finished products to requirements and standards as listed in the current Quality Systems Manual. There will be a fantastic opportunity to travel with this position to Mainland Europe also.
**You will be responsible for:**
+ Work with R&D. QA, PMO and Global Engineering functions to define and document validation strategies for new product introductions
+ Complete impact assessments of proposed changes and/or new products and determine scope of validation work
+ Generate, execute and/or review validation protocols and associated reports for related Process & Software Validation Activities
+ Identification of improvements to manufacturing process & software and assist with implementation of same
+ Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once while adhering to project plans and timelines and report on progress to management
+ Provide direction and mentoring to junior engineers as required
+ Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management
+ Knowledge of cGMP and industry regulations
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
+ Relevant third level qualification in Engineering/Manufacturing/Science is preferred.
+ Minimum 2 years in the Engineering/Manufacturing/ Scientific field.
+ 2 years working knowledge of process, equipment, facilities and or software validation either within Quality or Engineering departments
+ Basic understanding of design controls, design transfer and validation lifecycle.
+ Experience working in a 21CFR820 and/or ISO13485 regulated industry. May consider experience in pharmaceutical validations

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for setting the standard cost for our market leading Diabetes Care Products.
It would be a significant advantage if you can bring experience in developing projects or sites from square one.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ The person will be a key member of the Finance Team, who will assist in the planning, preparation and analysis of the plants annual budget, forecasts and monthly financial reports.
+ Provide timely variance analysis reports to management through a suite of management reporting.
+ Work with the various functions to identify, analyse and drive the implementation of significant cost reduction and operational efficiency improvement opportunities in the business.
+ Support the implementation of the costing and financial systems in SAP including asset management and equipment spares management.
+ Participate in the ongoing development of the cost and inventory accounting systems.
+ Utilise Lean methodologies, KPI's and Business Intelligence reporting to provide metrics & analysis to the business.
+ Perform detailed analysis to interpret and present financial data and key business metrics to stakeholders within the site and at Divisional level.
+ The role will also include involvement in ad hoc projects and providing support and assistance to the business
+ Coach, advise, or train less-experienced cost analysis staff.
**Education :**
+ Batchelors Degree in related discipline
+ Qualified Accountant ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA or similar accounting qualification
+ Lean/Six Sigma qualifications a distinct advantage.
**Experience/Background**
+ Qualified, experienced accountant with a minimum of 4 years post qualification experience with a proven track record of success ideally within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
+ Experience in a high-volume complex manufacturing environment
+ Knowledge of ERP systems and a high level of computer literacy, ideal experience with SAP
+ Exceptional data analysis skills.
+ Strong product costing and cost management expertise is a must.
+ Knowledge of multinational reporting and compliance issues.
+ Ability to influence and advise business leaders on financial matters.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills.
